Cheeky Roast Chicken

Ingredienten: 1 kg kip
12 plakjes bacon
6 kleine worstjes
6 worteltjes
6 aardappels
6 tenen knoflook
1 handje rozemarijn
1 handje salie
olijfolie
zout
peper
Voorbereiding:
Bereidingswijze: In a large bowl, bash and bruise the rosemary and sage and really scrunch in four good lugs of olive oil with your hands.
Rub some of this flavoured oil inside and around the chicken then place it in a large tray in a pre heated oven at 225?C for 30 mins.
I like to cut the potatoes into three and parboil in salted boiling water for 6 mins before draining and adding them to the bowl of flavoured oil, along with the whole carrots, garlic, bacon and sausages.
Mix and toss then add to the roasting tray with the chicken and cook for a further 40 mins.
Once golden and cooked, remove the chicken to a plate to rest for a while (10 mins) before carving.
Serve with some steamed spinach or purple broccoli and gravy; when you make the gravy, you must use all the goodness from the bottom of the tray and any stock from the greens.
